the sandable foam i used says clearly on the can "this product will not disolve using any solvents after curing" (paraphrase). i just hand scraped it out on mine, because the bottom was accessible. i keep meaning to update some pictures, but there's not much new to see-- it's coated in bondo and just needs the surface to be finished. around the time i laid the last coat of bondo, i began welding up my english wheel so i can start fabricating these out of aluminum...
