Topic: CB350 Twins didn't have external fork springs did they?

I'm pretty sure they didn't. So what did? I ended up with this front end, labeled as a CB350 front end. And well..I don't think it is...any thoughts?

1969 thru 1971 all had external fork springs.

The only CB350 twins to have internal springs were the 1972 CB350K4 and the 1973 CB350G(the one with the front disc).

Those definately look like early model CB350 forks.

Hm, any real downside to using these then? If they are for the bike, then why not use them ya know? Just wanted to make sure before I go about fitting them. Seems like a really cool conversation piece. Also, could I potentially run them without the spring shields? just so the springs are visable?

OK, is there any one who can confirm/deny for sure that this is/is not a 350 Twin front end from the early era? The fork seals I have gotten are incorrect, and I need to make sure the front end I'm looking at isn't for something totally different...

Well, that highly rusty portion isn't where the seal rides. Which is good. Just where the headlight brackets are, and the clamps. There is a bit of corrosion on one of the tubes in the 'sliding' portion. But there isn't a thing I can do about it. I knocked it down with some steel wool, and it's pretty flush, but not perfect. Have no clue what to do about it, if anything..

Good to hear Chris. By the way, that is an awesome logo you made up. The one as your avatar. I think you mentioned a while back you were figuring out ideas for it. Turned out awesome.

Thanks! I think it will look cool on the side of the tank. I'm have t shirts printed now as well. The final logo will be moto.fiaccone--not all one word as it is now.

I'm seriously considering it. I think it would be an interesting point on the front end. My only concern is the small amount of corrosion I have on the fork tubes, which might be an eye sore in contrast...Not sure yet. Maybe I'll just mock it up and see what it looks like first, see where it takes me then. By the way. I want a shirt.

I printed three white shirts with a white reflective logo and three black shirts with the logo in black reflective. They are all fitted medium shirts from American Apparel. Expensive shirts, but the best. If you seriously want one, I'm sure we can work something out.

Well it's not the springs that I'm worried about corroding. It's the corrosion already present on the tubes themselves. But, like I said, not sure there is anything I can do about it. So I'll just make sure it's not positioned to the outside, and therefore not super apparent. But yeah I'm seriously interested in a shirt.
