Kinda Frustrating
« on: May 02, 2007, 03:11:56 PM »
What could be more frustrating than passing right by (or over!) the home of an illustrious SOHC4 member, and not being able to stop in to look at his bikes or go for a ride around his bailiwick?

Yesterday I flew right over Seaweb's house on Gabriola Island on the approach to Nanaimo airstrip (barely long enough for a C21/Lear 35 to land and turn around).  We were bringing a patient in from Mexico.  There we were within a stone's throw of Seaweb's home, and no chance to go see his projects completed and in the works!

Bummer!  I've threatened to go visit him, and missed my chance by such a small margin....

You dodged the bullet this time, Derek.   ;)

 ;D

The door on the Lear isn't configured for that.  Besides, who would take care of my patient?

But I *do* like the way you think.  ;)

Given where the engines are on a Lear I wouldn't fancy your chances anyway :o

I wholeheartedly agree.   The rear emergency exit has a configuration that might work in a pinch, but it's right in front of that right engine. Even worse.   :o

I hate flying in aircraft that don't allow for me leaving when *I* think it's appropriate!  :D

So if you hate flying on *aircraft*, what does that leave you to fly on?  ::)

Just because I hate doing something, doesn't mean I don't do it :(

Being married, that is a concept I'm reasonably familiar with anyway ;)
