Has anybody used the Motion Pro syncronizers?  Any pros or cons would be a great help.

Thanks.

I have one and I suppose it is like any other mercury syncro. If you get one though, get it at the honda dealer. Dont go through jcwhitney. Once you do shipping, you actually spend more.

I have the home mechanic model and I believe it's a must for these bikes. As far as quaility, its ok. I have used mine 5 times on my bike and it is still in good shape. One problem I have encounter is the little o-rings on the adapters went bad and had to cut some tubing to make new ones. Other than that It has kept mine bike running great. It took a couple of times using it to really dial in the carbs even. For the price, I do't think you will be disappointed. Got mine out of Dennis Kirk. Also tkinking about getting permanent hose/ brass adapters to make it easier to hook it up.

I bought one and I didn't really like it. The brass adapters for the two inner carbs were too short, making them a pain to install and remove, and there are no dampeners for the mercury columns. The columns bounce around so much at idle that it's practically impossible to get the proper sync. I bought a set of four vacuum gauges and they are soooo much better. The brass adapters are nice and long and the gauges have adjustable dampeners so you can get a little bouncing, but still read the dials pretty accurately.

I have synched at least 500 bikes through the pro model. It has been used probably 1,000 times secondary to shop use. Besides changing the tubes and mercury...good piece. Will last a lifetime.

I also have the pro model, which my wife gave me as a present about 8years ago. This was after having numerous problems with gauges and calibration.
I have not used it as much as Mike, but it works fine on my 750's and all my mate's bikes.
I even used it on a Suzuki GT750 to help a guy work out which crankcase seal had gone.

Thanks for all of the input!  I'll pick up the economy model.  I'll use it maybe a couple of times per year.  Happy trails!

I have the Morgan Carbtune and can't recommend it enough.  No mercury to deal with and comes with all adaptors.

A lot. Morgans are expensive. You dont need to deal with mercury but you could buy about 5 sets of sticks for the price of 1 carb tune.
