CB350 Carb question.

Really quick one. How tight are the jets on the bottom of the carb supposed to be? The ones in between the floats, not sure which circuits they are, so sorry for the vagueness. But when I removed them, they were an absolute PITA to take out. But now the new ones going back in don't seem to fit as tight. They look like they seal fine, and they don't just 'fall out' but I just want to verify...

They are not very tight. In fact, on my carb (with admittedly very old o-rings) they will not stay in place unless the bracket is there, preventing them from falling out.  They probably seemed tight when you took them out becasue they were glued in place with dried fuel.

I had a question about that too. Does that bracket sit on the bottom of the float bowl? Preventing them from falling out? I think that is how mine is, but I just want to verify.

I've seen those o rings so big they wouldn't fit into the carb. I would tend to want to force them in and the o ring may shear off a bit. This is probably not good. You can try some lube if they are big. I believe that once they have soak in fuel they will swell and then shrink when they dry up. The small bracket will always hold them in by pressing against the bottom of the bowl. :)

I got one of their full kits. All new jets and stuff, o rings, plugs, everything. Killer stuff, glad that company is around.

If they were hard to be removed, probably they were just glued into place as you have been directed.

I bought from Honda the whole carb kit for about 10 euro each. It includes the bowl gasket, idle screw o-ring, jets o-ring, the rubber plug etc.

Maybe I'm stating the obvious, but make sure you are inserting the o-ring in the right groove. The other one is for the bracket, that as you said, is pressed by the bowl.

That rubber plug covers another "jet". It's more of an emultion tube that plugs up with dried fuel residue.(at least mine did)
It looks like it unthreads but it is actually slid in place. Can be a bugger to get out.
