750 auto frame & top end work
« on: May 08, 2007, 07:15:42 PM »
I know that there a have been a few threads discussing (and even "kits" offered) modifying the stock 750 frame to allow top end removal with the engine in frame.  Well, for a while I've had a vague recollection of reading somewhere that at least some years of the 750 autos had a frame that in stock form allowed for top end removal.  Well thanks to a fellow selling a bunch of 77 auto stuff on Ebay I found a pic that might be interesting to some of you with clearance inadequacies.  Note the curvature of the spines lower tubing. Not sure if this setup matched the stiffness (probably not that great anyway) of the "normal" 750 frame but it does have "engineered by Honda" going for it. . . . .
