So close I can tast it!!!!!
« on: May 09, 2007, 04:03:43 PM »
So my friend the painter came by today and I couldn't resist some assemly work. Here are the tank and seat dry fit. He thinks I need to wait "2" weeks before putting gas in....we'll see. A few minor things and we'll be on the road, though they feel really pressing now. Just thought I would scream it from the virtual mountain tops since I can't hit the real ones yet. Later.

That paint job is one of the most creative ones I've seen, It looks sweet!
Hurry and get that thing sorted out so more people can appreciate it on the road. :)

Looks good 8)

The Hm wing ...painted on or decal? If decal, where'd you find them?
A good bike mechanic only needs two tools, WD40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move, but should, use the WD40. If it does move but shouldn't use the duct tape.

Turned out sweet!  Love the BCR tank / Seat combo and the stripes!  I have been planning on doing a translucent stripe down the middle of my tank and seat much like yours.  That has got to be killing you not to be able to ride it!!!

Thanks all for the comments. Yes it is a BCR tank and seat. The seat pan ended up being metal since I didn't want the taillight in the seat. The honda logo on the tank is a gold metallic vinyl under the clear. I happen to have a sign shop so I just made them. I have an extra pair of left right the same size as mine so if anyone wants them. Will get some better pics soon in the good light.
