Took 2 items to Post Office today. One to NY (about 400 mi). Three clerks working. One told me $12.40. The second one looked over and said that was wrong. Have to measure. Said $13.90. Third one said they were both wrong. Said it was $15.19. Then they start arguing between them. $15.19 won. Lobby full of pi==ed off people. Second one was Harley parts sold on ebay to Japan. Said under new rates, no more International Parcel Post. But could send cheaper ($44 vs $66) by Priority Mail in their envelope. Paid $3.79 for the envelope and went out to the car to repackage it. Came back in and stood in line (again). Oops, I was wrong. Still $66 since it is more than 4 pounds. Don't know why she didn't tell me that when it weighed 12 lbs in the old box. Took 1 hour to send 2 packages.What a fricking mess. Cannot imagine what mail order companies must be going through if the Post Office cannot even figure it out!
