Man, that chopper project is a beaut! (so's the girl). I like how you went with clipons instead of ape hangers. I've never seen them used on a chopper. How is the seating position?

Sweet looking ride, man (Where's your Girlfriend?  ;D )

Where did you get/what did you use for that Jack shaft? I like the brakes. Bet they stop better that my old stock set up.

I love the paint (especially on the wheels).

Really cool machine - how does it ride? Corner?

Awesome!  I love everything except how high the tank sits.  To me it just seems to take away from the overall flow of the bike.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with the tank itself though.  Nice work!

When I mentally take out the tank and look at the flow from the headstock, down the backbone to the seat, I'm thinking 'damn, that looks awesome'.  I would like to see it with the tank over the backbone and with the top of the tank as close to the top of the backbone as possible.

This is just my opinion and I honestly hope you could give a rat's arse about my opinion.  She's your bike and if you love the look, that's all that matters.  You do great work!

i debutted on a low pro tank.  i agree it would look mean as hell but it reminded me too much of the jesse rooke KTM bike.  the bike runs pretty good, but i need to tune the carbs better.  it starts first kick,  run 80 at low RPM's and stops on a dime.   the ride is a little rough due to the lowered front end and the hardtail frame.  the seating position is awesome.   thanks for all the compliments.  hope i inspired some of you.

the jackshaft is a mounting plate with pillow blocks for the support bearrings.  the shaft is a trans shaft welded to a 1" tube with the smaller 520 sprocket on it.  the cb sprocket is replacable and the pillow blocks are adjustable for the front chain tension.

Not sure what you are getting at c91X but 1000+ views and 40 comments are the usual for a post where someone is showcasing a new build. I think everyone that has seen this bike has been incredibly impressed (as I am, hence I nominated it for BOTM).

The Tech section will always get more replies since more people think they can solve a problem and it usually takes a bit more back n forth to do so. Wheres the problem here?

Take it easy and enjoy the bike ;-)
cheers

I respect the work that went into the bike, but I don't think I've ever seen any bike as butt ugly as that one!. I know that's not diplomatic to say it, but you've been soliciting opinions, and that's mine.

Wow, that's pretty harsh. It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but I think the bike rocks! Nice job man. Now let's get your girl on that thing. We want to see pics!

glad to see some thinks it's butt ugly.  it certainly ain't no stocker or stripped down cafe, but i did hand fabricate and research my ass off to build this bike.  this thing ain't no bolt together beauty.  i had to had custom fit everything and tweak a lot of thingsto make it work.  and sure, it's barely a cb 750, but it is a SOHC and that's what this site is about.   to each his own.  i didn't mean to cause a stink i was just bumping so a buddy could look at it.  enjoy

Wow - considering what you started with makes it more impressive, bike looked like it was be used as an anchor for some time.  Is it me or do some of the photos look like miniature scale models?

I think having someone say its butt ugly is a good thing.  I personally love the look of the bike.  When there are opinions that are waaay opposite it means you made something distinct and innovative.... If EVERYONE liked it, that just means it was safe and par for the course.

With that being said... maybe you could find *ahem* someone to *cough* sit on it to show us the stance?  Hehehehe...  8) 8)
