here we go again
« on: June 24, 2005, 04:09:17 PM »
so, i rode my bike to work today, ran great. when i got off, i came out and started it up and basked in the glory of the fact that my bike is running good. it was about 90 degrees out. on the way home i got stuck in traffic. then, my bike would not run hardly. it almost acted like a cylinder wasnt firing. it would get about 45 mph or 5k rpm. i was scared(this happened on the freeway) so i pulled over on an exit and took a look at it. nothing. it wouldnt rev up at all and it was popping and backfiring like crazy on the down rev. Well, i decided to limp it home and once i got going, i seemed to run way better... i dint try to rev it up or anything but it was running better. idling like crap tho....... any thoughts?

any black smoke?.. any smoke at all?... All your carb clamps tight.. not sucking air, when its running, did you pull the spark caps one at a time to see if one cylinder was out?.. do you have a fuel filter that might be bloked?... man this is a  curly one... anyone else?
you are never to old, to act like a kid... be safe
funny thing, chasing someone down hill on a bike 30 years older than theirs..

Pulsers are a behind the round cover that says HONDA (right hand side, below the cylinder)
Ign. Coil: Follow the ignition cable   ;)  (below fuel tank)
Parts: see FAQ here or http://thehondacbforum.com/  ->  shop
