I have owned honda's since 1970. My first bike was a gold CT70. All my friends had bikes back then and we would adventure from my home in Shoreview MN all the way to Duluth MN riding nothing but trails. All together there was 8 of us that rode together all the time. Times were great back then and the riding endless. In 1972 my parents helped me buy a brand new XL-250. This had to be the funnest bike ever. You could ride wheelies forever. Sitting down standing on the seat a very forgiving bike it was wonderful. I still have this bike and now and my son Christopher is now riding wheelies all over the place. I hope the cops don't nab him. He is enjoying this bike about as much as I did when I was a youngster. In 1975 I went in the US Navy and bought a 1970 CB-750 K0. This bike went everywhere with me from San Diego to Great lakes IL. to Damneck VA and everywhere in between. It never failed me. It always went like a bat out of hell. When you twisted the throttle man it flew like the devil himself was after us., The steering was also very responsive to my every wish. One day in 1984 I was driving home very aggressively and got into a tight right hand corner. I started to scrap the 4 in 1 Hooker header I just put on and skip accross the road crossing the centerline. A car was coming from the other direction and veered just in time so as to divert a head on collision. I must have missed that car by inches. I was so close I could smell the anitfreeze from the cars radiator. I decided then and there to buy a brand new 1984 Honda 750 Intercepter.
To make a long story short, this CB-750 has been sitting behind my garage for nearly 23 years. Leaking oil everywhere engine pan, fork seals, rust everywhere. The front caliper was frozen and whould not move. Carbs filled with a muddy looking substance. Seemed impossible to resurrect. Six weeks later working on and off sometimes all night it is finally on the road better then ever. I have forgot how much fun this bike was and is. I am also very pleased to be here in the company of people that love this bike as much as I. Thank you for creating this incredible place.
