How do I shut that bleeping turn signal buzzer off!!!!!
« on: April 07, 2005, 01:02:45 AM »
Hey guys, I just bought my 77 750F  and I can't bear to sit at an intersection with a 27 year old buzzer that sounds like electronic death !!! is it pretty straight forward to cut it out??? The buzzer sounds like a digitized cat dying, I can't take it!!!!! Normally I'm stoked when people stare at my bike when I'm at the lights, but not for this reason!!!

Thanks

find it, follow the wires back to whatever it connects to, and unplug it. or just use wire cutters. if your blinkers dont work, reverse the process.

You need a specialist engineering tool, fortunatly these are widly available and you probably already have one, it's know in the trade as a F##king BiG Hammer! ;D
In the UK anything over 40 years old only needs insurance and Fuel.

Check with Orange County Choppers- that seems to be their tool of choice. :D

How many times have you seen a bike going down the road with a turn signal
on and no turns are made ???  A lot of riders without buzzers forget to turn off
a turnsignal because they can't hear it.  I like mine for that reason it don't let me forget,
It can be a bad scene if someone thinks your turning and pulls out in front of you.
If I'm in a turn lane stopped, I dont turn it on, when I do , I switch it off as soon as possible,
HEY !!!! Its SAFETY ..   Anyway, I like people looking at my ride .
Its your choice, BE SAFE WHICHEVER !    Raymond in Texas

up until a year ago, I did not even know I had one of these! I got my bike second hand? maybe third? It must have been disconnected years ago. I have never noticed any strange problems.

The buzzer on my F2 is mounted on the inside of the left headlight ear. Just disconnect the wires to disable it. However. I agree with Raymond's comments. Pat, from Nth Qld Australia

My bike has a toggle switch someone added that lets you can shut it off.  It kind of like it fingernails on a chalkboard after about 3 flashes.  I wonder what it sounded like 28 years ago when it was new.  Could be worst, a digital voice "BLINK" "BLINK"
These wonderful little birds are great flyers, delicious eating, excellent for training your hunting dog, and just fun to shoot,or stuff and keep around the house.  Bobwhites can be put with other types of Quail and have very large penis's.  Quail are very popular with the babes.

Thanks for the advice, I got past my leaving the blinkers on phase (I hope) and man if you heard this sad sad little buzzer you'd agree it is time to pull the cord, (or feeding tube, whatever is considered ethical) and let this little marvel of sound technology get closer to that silicon pile in the sky!

Not sure what you guys have over there, but our Articulated trucks (and some "Boy racers ::)") have buzzers on their reverse that sound the same, so...the bikes don't have them on the indicators,Cos' You never know if a Honda is making a turn or an artic is about to reverse over you.!
