Quick chain question
« on: May 19, 2007, 07:49:03 AM »
Getting ready to change the sprockets and chain on my 76 750. Got it up on the rear stand and counted the links in the chain. Came up with 102 including the master link. It only has 3 master links in it  ::)  ::) so I figured maybe the PO had it too long.....Im out of adjustment.

When I cut my new chain......its an EK 530 MVXZ with 120 links....do I cut it to have 100 links including the master link?

Only way to be sure is first fit sprockets (if you are replacing them)
then move the rear wheel all the way forward
roll new chain onto the sprockets and mark where you need to cut it--do so and fit the link
