Does anyone know if I can put K5 fork lowers on 78 A tubes? I got a set on ebay real cheap and the tubes are in great shape. The lowers are rough and one of them has a deep gouge in it. I noticed the tubes are a bit longer and the lowers are also a bit longer than my K5 forks. The K5 tubes are very rusted at the top(headlite ears) and I need to know if the shorter lowers(K5) will work with the longer tubes(78 Hondamatic).On the other hand....how about the longer lowers on the shorter tubes?? I won't be using them....just for info that might even help out someone else here. The difference in length is not much. I would think that what I want(longer tubes on short lowers) would be better than short tubes on longer lowers. That seems to put the top of the wheel closer to hitting the top.....kinda like Pro Teal putting the 21" wheel on stock length forks. If anyone knows about this swap,please post and let me know.Thanks!!!
