newbie from Delaware
« on: May 22, 2007, 01:38:50 PM »
Hi folks... newbie here from Delaware.  Great site you have here!  I just purchased a '76 CB750 (see attached).  Even though I won't take posession of it until next week, I thought I'd drop in and say hello.  I'm sure I'll have some questions and it looks like this board will be an excellent resource for getting some of them answered.  I look forward to meeting some of you online and learning more about SOHCs.

Cheers!   ;D

OK.  I think I get it.  I agree with you, of course!  But we won't hold it against the others... or will we ????   ;D

It could be worse seaweb11.  You could have a DOHC.  Not that there's anything wrong with that.   ;D ;D ;D

Hey Cadler!  I did register but didn't win anything. There was a beautifully restored CB360T by Rob from Bear DE that finished second.  Thing looked showroom new.  1st went to a vintage HD.  Had a lot of interest in my 750K6 though.  One guy came up to me and said "now the show's starting to get interesting, I'm tired of looking at Harley after Harley in a sea of Harleys!"

As I was heading out, the guy who won was sweating up a storm next to me, trying to kickstart his bike.  He stomped on that pedal over and over and over again but there was nary a whimper from his engine.  As I reached over and touched my starter button, engine immediately purring to life, I said "you should consider getting one of these!"  It was cruel of me, I know, but I just couldn't resist!!!    ;D

It was great chatting with you and comparing notes on our 750s.  You have a real gem there!  Good luck with it and hope to see you around.  I have another buddy in the area with a K6.  Maybe we can get together and go riding sometime.

welcome to the grand illusion panam, you will enjoy the forum and the bike a hell of a lot- you just need to get that thing off its face before it lays any eggs in the bike's stomach.

have fun and dont forget to absorb entirely the FAQ section.

No, unfortunately it was just a pre-1980 class.

Thanks KK.  Will do.  BTW, taking off that Windjammer was my first order of business.  Here she is now, all fit and trim.  Handles so much better too!
