Don't be screwing around with a B-B gun in the garage.....POP! Ping...tink DAMN!
Ahhh.I had an air rifle when I was a kid. Bloody dangerous....Illegal in UK now.
Sorry, but I couldn't help but chuckle a little at this. Since this is a motorcycle forum, what do you reckon are the relative hazards presented by BB guns vs. motorcycles? Which one is the most likely to get you maimed or killed? Just looking for a little perspective on this.
Whoa!!! Guys, guys, this isn't a gun topic, just be careful with the "other" toys in the garage.
my son and I were target shooting in the back yard yesterday w a BB gun....didn't hit a single mtorcycle. peace, michel
'Ere's whatcha do, Guvna', just throw a couple dookie logs in the hearth and bob's your uncle!

Just looking for a little perspective on this.yes but a bike is a mode of transport and not specifically designed for killing/maiming. A gun - well it's only really a weapon!! Even if you only ever shoot at targets it's original designed purpose was killing whether people or animals, an air rifle is only a scaled down version of that design and can still kill, unfortunately it's poor domestic cats that seem to get the worst end of the air rifles here in the UK!I used to fire .22 rifles and .556 rifles when I was in the cadet force as a teenager. I enjoyed it but I was thankful when they locked the rifles and ammo away. I couldn't even imagine owning such a thing. But i guess attitudes are somewhat different on the other side of the pond....

My intent wasn't to turn this into yet another gun thread. It was just a observation on people's attitudes. A BB gun is considered "bloody dangerous" and made illegal, yet motorcycles are demonstrably far more dangerous. There are plenty of people out there ready and willing to see motorcycles banned. It is this mindset that was the point of my comment.I don't know where you expected this thread to go, so I apologize if I derailed it. And yes, BBs can bounce around like little rubber balls.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, Sam. BB guns are legal in the U.S. and Idaho. I was referring to Steve's statement that they were illegal in the UK.
Guns and motorcycles are both dangerous, I would think be it their own fault or not, more people get hurt by moyorcycles than guns.Sam.
