I actually joined this club in '03 and am just getting around to be involved. What can I say - I've been busy! My story, boring as it may be:
Started out in Wisconsin on a used1975 550 Super Sport. Rode that for a year then bought a new 1976 750 Super Sport (red, of course.) I packed everything on the back and moved to California. Rode to British Columbia, the Tetons, the Grand Canyon, and all of Utah. I sold it (one of my top five regrets) in 1987 with 92,000 original miles. Got married, had kids and moved to NH. My mid-life crisis gave me the itch to ride again so I searched and found a good looking '76 750F. Then my wife got the itch so I got her anit-biotics and a 1975 400F (you guessed it, red.) Now, we cruise the back roads of NH on weekends and evenings with the kids on the back. Life's good.
