correct # of teeth on an CB750F Primary Sprocket?

Hey guys,

I'm gathing parts for my cafe racer.  After reading that the gearing is lower on an F trans I bough a primary shaft full of gears from an F engine (I hope).  In this write up from cycle guide it mentions that the spockets on the shaft are uped 2 teeth to 50.  But when I counted the teeth on the spockets I came up with 41.  Are they totally wrong in this write up?  Maybe they were not good at counting back then?

Here is the write up:

As in previous CB750s, the F model’s crankshaft rides in five plain inert bearing.  Power is still delivered to the clutch through two single-row chains that drive a jackshaft, but two teeth have been added to the jackshaft sprockets; they now have 50 teeth each for a ratio of 1.985:1.  The wet clutch has been modified to allow more oil to get at the plates, which is an effort to reduce the friction plate distortion and glazing that make the clutch grabby and noisy.   The seven friction plates have also been altered slightly and the center has been changed.

The first three ratios of the five speed transmission are the same, but the forth and gear ratio has gone from 1.097:1 on the K5 to 1:133:1 on the F, and the fifth gear ratio has been changed from 0.939:1 to 0.969:1.

The transmission sprocket has also shortened the overall gear ratio by giving away one tooth for a new total of 17 teeth.  It drives the same 48-tooth rear wheel sprocket through a new R K brand chain designed by Honda R and D.

All those changes mean that the Supper Sport’s first three gears are 23% lower than the K5’s, and the forth and fifth are 27% lower.

The drive spocket that came with the set is 17 teeth which gives me hope, but how do I make sure I have F gearing on my shaft?

here's a photo of what I have..

If you have a 75/76 Cb750SS, the following info might help
The change in fourth gear ratio is due to a change in the  mainshaft gear to 30 in the F  (from 31 in the K). The countershaft gear stayed the same.
Fifth gear is changed by altering the 5th countershaft gear to 31 from 32 in the K. In this case the mainshaft gear remained the same 33T

The final drive gear is 43 teeth and should mesh with a final driven sprocket of 50T. (The K was 48 and 56T respectively). You wil need to make sure you are using matching final drive gears.
A lot of people I know with the F use a 18th sprocket for lower engine revs.

ya clyde I know I will have to match up these gears with the final drives gears from an F trans also.  I guess I just want to make sure I"m starting with an F primary shaft also (never know with ebay)...
