Hello all!

I'd had this site marked since I owned my 1st cb750 ('75) about 3 years ago.  I also aquired a '78 K for "parts".  One of the engineers I work with had given it to me for helping him and his family move.  It was his brothers and it only had 3,846 miles.  It had been parked and not ridden since '82.  I'd fixed the '75 (I'll upload some pictures once I get my gallery created) and rode it for about 1 year and decided to sell it so I could buy a '98 VT1100C3.  It's a beautiful bike, but after putting a DYNA 3k ignition module, opening up the exhaust and putting a Corbin seat on it, I realized that I like working on bikes almost as much as riding.  I sold it last July to help finance an addition on our house.  I had to promise my wife I'd wait 12 months before I bought anything else.  I've looked at alot of bikes, but can't justify buying what I really want (4 bikes) and I kept coming back to the idea of fixing up the '78.  Well, after several months of dicking around with the Iowa Department of Motor Vehicles (last state it was ridding in) I finally got the title last week, and now I'm ready to start my journey....

Bikes I've owned...
1985 Honda CB700S
1976 BMW R90S
1975 Honda CB750K
1998 Honda VT1100C3
1978 Honda CB750K (hoping to be a Cafe)

My next purchase will probably be...
'99-02 Buell S3T (touring Thunderbolt)
Cheers!
and Ride Safe.

Welcome... from a fellow North Carolinian.

Only 3,846 miles?  Wow, sounds like a great moving payment.   :)

HF, I'm in Hickory, so about 2-3 hours away.  I'm close to the mountains, so if you ever get up this way, let me know.  My CB is currently unrideable as I'm modifying it, but I have other bikes to ride, plus I hope the CB is back up and running very soon.  Once she's done, I'm looking to take an extended trip somewhere... but we shall see how money/time look.
