Thanks for the web page url, Bill. Wish I could post you pics, but right now my poor CL77 is in boxes in a storage unit. Long story short, I paid 25 bucks for it with a locked up engine, took it apart to see what the deal was and had to shelve the whole mess due to finances. In terms of ideas/goals.... 35 horsepower, 250 lbs? I figure the factory kick-only motor would save weight (smaller battery, no starter).
If I didn't know better, yours sound a lot like mine. I paid a little more for each but, I've got a 63' CB77 (w/a CA77 motor, that I've trying to get the parts to change), a 62' CL72 (bad shape, all there, motor locked but w/a title) and a 67' CL77 rolling frame w/rear fender. Got about $300 in those (over time). My goals: the CB77 not restored but, built slightly custom look with slightly modified motor, 62' CL72 would like to restored it but I don't see me being able to do so (don't know what I'll do with it) The 67' CL Rolling frame fixed up in a kind of a "Cafe Style." Ah, but money puts a damper on things like that, if you don't have much and I don't. Take care and let me know how things are going and I'll do the same.
Later on, Bill
