Engine Whine
« on: May 29, 2007, 03:29:46 AM »
My engine seems to develop a whine when my revs are constant it disappears as I increase revs. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this. I know it's not me I howl with excitement not whine as revs increase!!!  ;D

What motor?
Its probably there all the time you just don't notice. 400/500/550 hyvo chains can whine when new but usually its the cam chain, particularly if its been 'manually' adjusted.
There are also a got of gears and bearings hat could be making a noise.
Pretty much impossible to diagnose on computer.
