Where to get or how to replace main fuse
« on: May 29, 2007, 04:55:17 PM »
Well I recieved my new Morgan Carbtune today and while synching my carbs I blew my main fuse.  Which looks like a flat strip of metal (with no glass)  there was a replacement sitting inside the box but it fell apart before I could get it out of the holder.  I am wondering where I can get such a fuse or If there is a way to update this fuse with a blade fuse or glass.  Thanks

Bikes parked out front mean good chicken-fried steak inside.

Thanks alot for the replies.  I ended up rewiring the fuse box with a 30A inline fuse which works great and should be a lot easier to change out.

You'll want to run a 15 amp main. With a 30 in there if something goes wrong with the electrics you could end up frying something before the heavier fuse finally blows.

the old fuse and the spare both say 30A on them.  It is a 1981 cb650 Custom.  Maybe the previous owner changed them both out but It must have been a long time ago because the were both extremely corroded.
