Anybody Figure-Out Rearsets?
« on: May 30, 2007, 04:11:55 PM »
C'mon, theres gotta be someone out there that knows how to put together a set of simple rearsets on a CB750 maybe using scrounged-up parts from another bike. I hear Raasks from Omars are n/a right now. What do CR750's use for rear brake linkage? The CR shifter in this pic is simply flipped backwards, right?
I got some choice parts to trade for some rearsets, BTW.

I'm using rearsets from a honda nighthawk. I had to weld a  3/4 inch by 6 inch squared steel tubing to the lower end of the frame tubing above the swingarm.  I took a piece of mild steel rod and a 6mm die and made threaded linkage rods for the brake and the shifter. I took a stock shift lever and cut it down to about two inches long above the shifter spindle opening.
