bobbing fenders/edge trim advice
« on: September 02, 2007, 01:00:52 AM »
Some time ago I was given some terrific advice on this board regarding bobbing fenders. I planned on cutting my front fender down with my dremel but was afraid of the edges that would remain.

It was suggested that I buy some car/truck door trim. Great idea! I cut the fender to the desired length and curve and cut off the right length of trim. It looks perfect!

I will post pics later (when the rest of the bike looks worthy enough to post pictures of it!)

Did you paint the fender after you cut it down or leave it chrome?

Sorry....just read that post.

No I left the fender chrome and I used car door trim (also "chrome") on the edges.

attached is a pic.

I decided to take the easy way out when I went the bobbed fender route, I used a plastic one from an F ;D
