Doh!  ;D

Yep, I see you have the same disease as me. The hardest part is concentrating on one thing at a time. I work on one then another then another and never seem to get anything done. Well sometimes I do.

I understand. ;D I start on one, see and buy parts off of ebay for another, then I start thinking what I want to do on another and so on........ ::) ;D I try to stay on one, just to finish but, it's very difficult.

                                                          Later on, Bill :) ;)

Yea, you got a great deal. Except for the paint, it's all there. I have stripes (as does other guys too) that make it possible to repaint it.

The instruments are terrific. Cost you a fortune to buy.

If you are careful, you can with a razor blade, remove the rust on the chrome. The Honda chrome is porous, which is good to fix, in alot of cases. Shave carefully the rust away, then use fine polish (0.003 and 0.00024 micrometer diamond paste). I can see a great bike after cleaning and detailing.

Excellent find! The tank alone is a thousand bucks. The only thing I see missing is the trim around the bottom edge of the tank. It even has the baffles in the pipes...very rare. Also, it must have spent a lot of time inside as the red on the gauges is in great shape. I wouldn't be afraid to ride it. Keep the crash bars on as they will protect the expensive stuff well in a low speed tipover. Don't ask me how I know!  ::)

One should not ride a bike with long shoelaces! >:(

There's a guy selling new HM300's on Ebay for $999.00. I asked him if he'd ship to Oz (he's in the US) but he said they're "oversize". Damn! I tell you what Hahndy, you buy these, and I'll buy your nasty ol' 341's for my K2! (if you can work out how to ship 'em to me!) Cheers, Terry. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

That Ambassador is way cool.

The K1 is so perfect and costed so little, that I would keep it instead of the K0. You can sell the K0 and make an instant $2000 profit.

There is something strange with these things. When a new vehicle is born, early teething problems make engineers modify the original design. In many cases, owners are told to take the vehicles so the modified parts can be replaced at no cost. Using logic, the best year of a given model would be the last one, when many owners has been unwilling vehicle testers.

But when it comes to collectability, seems that the original ones are more coveted. They are very hard to live with in my opinion, for as you say, you don't enjoy them for fear of damaging them. I have a K1, but wouldn't mind to own a K6. In fact, I think I like the tank paint more than the K1.

If you are not going to restore it, you have better bikes to ride. Sell it and get funds for your other projects. I only have two bikes in restoration -and three in running condition-, and I know what is it like to feel that you don't stop working on bikes but never get anything finished. I'm very close to finish my CB350 and I don't think I will get more projects. Sun rays can make you warm but the only way to make them fire up is to concentrate all of them in a single point. The same goes with projects.

Raul-

True, The K1 is better. And the K6 is even better. I have a K0, K1 and K5. The K5 is a great bike to ride around on and better all round.

However, the K0 is like a Picasso; imperfect but unique.

Once you sell it, it's gone. Okay, they made 44,000. Maybe you will find another. But not that good for $2000.

I agree with techy5025, find some tank trim. It's available on ebay now and again but anyway www.cmsnl.com or www.davidsilverspares.com will have it. That addition would be about all you need....Make sure it is the correct solid chrome color, not the later trim that has the black horizontal line through it. Cheers

Nope, I can't say that I am. To far away and to many other things going on. I like the bike, ride it a couple times a week, but I'm not a Hodaka fanatic or anything.

I wasn't at first. I just wound up getting the DS because it was cheap and I like old, weird bikes.  Then I started looking into the company and it's history, and then I rode a friend's modern Yamaha 125.  I gotta say, that old Hodaka was more FUN and easy to ride than the new bike!!  Thats REALLY when I started to be into them.

But I only need those if I were to restore the bike. I do have a set of 300's on the K1, but the outside pipe on the left has some damage that was repaired, very nicely though.

I don't know what the heck I'm doing anymore. I don't think I am going to keep both the K0 and the K1. Not sure which to keep yet. Then I muddle things up more by buying this. Just arrived yesterday.

I just decided that you can keep that K0 Hahndy, I want that Guzzi much, much, more! That's beeootiful! ;D

There must be a difference in getting a girlfriend pregnant and a wife pregnant. Cuz when I got the wife pregnant I went out and bought 3 more bikes. Gotta stock up when you can.
