I have this in the parts wanted section too. I need a cap and hinged lid for it.

Is this a CB750 tank? I think so, but if I am wrong please set me straight.
1978 CB750K8; 1970 CB450

hrmmm   looks different than most I've seen.  my guess is it is not.  maybe a later year? DOHC?

Looks a bit "teardroppy" to me.  Is it off a Custom?

Looks like my 77 cb 750 tsnk with out its gas door cover on it .I belive the 78 used the same tank also

Don't think so---the gas cap area is recessed on 77-78 Ks, and the overall shape is too roundy and short.

It's not a DOHC tank either.

I'm gonna guess CB450 or CB500...

I don't think it's off a CB500... the neck is higher

Is it a Honda tank ?   Kinda looks like a Suzuki GT750 tank I used to have.

With that cap (cap is part of Hings mech) Kawasaki
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!
