Weird online find
« on: June 08, 2007, 08:14:14 PM »
So, I was doing googling to find the CB550 oil capacity, and I found this:

Scroll down and check out the video. Talk about abusing your bike!

Couldn't find a video, but I think I got the idea from the photo and the text :o

Have you ever noticed how, especially in a 'Modern' context, the words 'Artist' and 'Wanker' are completely interchangeable ::)

Art is sometimes not.  It's a damn shame what they did to that Honda.  I agree, what a waste.

....but it opens up a whole load of questions. Is the momentary time the bike is on the ground enough to ensure adequate oil circulation? In what temporary attitude is the oil pump being starved so the internals are not being lubed. How long could it run like that before there would be fuelling issues? Do bikes, like trees, scream when they are abused? Is there a bike heaven, and was this bike praying to get there during the torture?

This movie has been around a long time, and it's not the 1st time we have discussed it.

I disagree with most of you.
My take on it:

"The Unbridled power of one of these beasts left to their own demise."

Seriously do you really cringe anymore when you see a nice car torn or blown up in a movie?

Now THAT i can agree with!!!   ;D  It does hurt me to see that CB destroying itself on that chain.  They should string up the guy who did this by his nuts and bolts and see how much he jumps around...   ;D
