This CB750 won't start. Its a Pops Yoshimura motor and its barely popping. It literally lets out a healthy pop once in a while, but no signs of starting after about half-hour of cranking w/ choke, w/o choke, half choke, no throttle, half throttle etc. The popping I know is fuel dumping into the header and igniting from the spark, so its getting fuel and spark. Dyna lll ignition and coils off a running bike. Motor is a worked Yoshimura; pistons, valves, cam, porting, polishing, the works. Hasn't started in 25 years. Plugs are irridium tipped Champs that were in the bike; they didn't look bad to begin with, they're a little wet from its non-starting. The Dyna parts can't be put in upside down or anything, right? Theres barely wiggle room to turn the Dyna plate. Wiring checks out ok. Carbs are fresh rebuilt and got fuel in bowls. I'm stumped.
I've put alot of hours getting to this point, totally on a mission. Its been all apart, new tires, rebuilt calipers, rebuilt carbs, new bars, cables, tweaked the bodywork, assorted details. Motor wasn't opened-up, I was assured its healthy.
If and when this thing lights up, its going to be a major happening, so please make suggestions.
