Howdy from Brooklyn
« on: June 09, 2007, 06:23:59 PM »
I just re-discovered these forums and I'm thrilled to see the wealth of technical knowledge and the great advice I've been given in my one tech post so far. I've been riding 350 fours for 15 years now. I got my first one at a salvage yard on MLK blvd in Portland OR (The place is long gone now) and got hooked right away.  The owner of the yard had broke his arm trying to get the bike into his building the week before and after a lecture on how green bikes are bad luck, he let me have it for $200.
I'm on my third one now (still green) and not likely to stop anytime soon. Anyhow glad to be here, cheers big ears!

I'll post some pics of all my bikes, past and present soon. The current one has a nasty oil leak that most don't notice but surely would stick out like a sore thumb here.  ;D
Brooklyn NY is where I'm at.  Not the most fun place to ride but plenty of good stuff once you escape from NY. Makes me miss the PAC NW so bad sometimes. Windy ridge... Hwy 53 to Manzanita...

Welcome. I am in the process for reviving my father's 1973 350f. I wouldn't say that the green ones are unlucky, just not as fast as the red ones ;D.

Welcome from Westchester, good to see another SOHC in NY. I was feeling lonely.
