First bike, in North Alabama

well, just a month ago, I was given my first bike, that is 11 years older than I am. A wrecked 1975 CB400F. not that much damage to it, just a few minor things needed tightening, straightening out, polished up, painted, or replaced, and the tank has two big dents on one side. It still runs, and rides great though. not bad for a Freebie!

still a work in progress on restoring it

;D the key, is everyone down here knows a pack rat or two. The guy who had wrecked it gave it to my dads uncle, and he gave it to my dad, because my dad had given him an old lawn mower to tinker with a few weeks before, and since he already has a Harley, he gave it to me.

Never thought I'd fall in love with a Honda, always grew up with the Harley or nothing mindset. Now every day, I come home from work, and polish on the thing until 11:30 at night, ride it around the yard a bit (don't have a tag yet) and enjoy the smell of the warm engine.

There is something captivating about the aroma of hot sohc engine. Maybe it's something to do with the tiny dribble of oil coming out of the head...
