swapping forks/brakes
« on: June 28, 2005, 05:48:18 PM »
Hello all, I'm a newbie who just purchased a '71 cb750 on the cheap.  It runs but needs work (a work in progress).  Question: I am wondering if it is possible to swap in a front fork/brake/rim&tire combo from a newer bike.  My goal is to have greater suspension adjustibility with an inverted fork and dual disc brakes.  Does anyone know what it would take to make sucha conversion?  If so, what donor bike would be used?  Any websites that could help too?  As I am slowly bringing the bike back to like I'd like to have some modern suspension up front.  Also, is there a rear disc brake conversion available?  Has anyone attempted this before?  Thanks for your patience and assistence!
