« on: June 14, 2007, 04:16:26 PM »
on stipping the front forks to fit new fork legs i notice there is no sign of what are called in the manual ,oil locks does anyone know what they are and what they do and why cant  i see them? the forks seemed to work ok i just wanted to change the pitted fork legs but now im a bit confused. have they been worked on in the past and something left out when they were re built?

They frequently stay in the bottom of the alloy slider, visibly a bit like a top hat with a hole in the top that slides over the damper tube sticking out of the leg and the "brim" is trapped by the allen screw.
