Excellent forum!

I've been lurking for a while to research my purchase and now that I've finally bitten the bullet it's time to say hi. I'm an old car guy, but a total rookie at the motorcycle thing. I bought the CB500 (with my tax return this year) to save some money and have a little more fun on my daily commute from San Francisco to Marin County. It's been an adventure so far, that's for sure! Cheers y'all, see you on the road.

Hey DavinSF!
I just joined the forum and I also just picked up a 72 cb500.  It's my first honda and second motorcycle ever owned.  Got a question for you.  If these years are simiilar enough maybe you can help me out... where in the world does the throttle return spring connect to??????  I see where it goes on the carbs but I can't for the life of me find out where the other end attaches!!!! It's driving me batty...
Congrads on your cb500!  I hope your projects go smoothly!
Their is no meaning to life except the meaning you give it.

Hi wadarush-

I don't know offhand where the return spring connects. If I can see it without pulling the tank I'll post back, otherwise I'd say hit the forum with the question. I'm sure that'll solve the mystery real quick. Cheers and good luck!
