Looking for oil seal
« on: June 29, 2005, 08:29:40 AM »
I thought that I would be smart and put a heavy duty o-ring chain on my CB550F.  Well the chain is just wide enough to shave the case and take out the seal just above the counter shaft.  Now I find out that Honda does not make that seal any more.  Does anyone know where I can fine one?  It's part # 91207-374-00  38X8.

1979 CB750 DOHC
1975 CB550F
1979 185 Twin star
1974 R90S BMW
2002 R1150RS BMW
2003 K1200GT Bmw
Thanks Bob,

www.westernhillshonda.com are showing 30 in stock at $10.95 plus shipping BUT check your part number as it should read 91207-374-000 and its 34mm x 8mm not 38x8
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Thanks for the help you were correct about the part # and discription.  I have the part on order and that will put one more bike on the road to recovery.
I see that your from the UK.  Used to work in Welwyn Garden City for Xerox and have a great many friends in England.
Thanks again for the help,
Bob,
