400/4 front brake switch

I am about to fit the third switch in six weeks. They are David Silver pattern swiches. The master cylinder and caliper have been overhauled and the brakes are good. Should the switch be primed with fluid first. David Silver have changed them with no quibbles. They all work for a week then fail. Joining the two wires lights the switch straight away.......or am I just unlucky?

Sounds to me like they have a bad run of switches. I recently replaced mine and tried to prime it before I put it in.... but it really wasn't practical..... the fluid just dribbled out while I was trying to put it in. Bleeding took care of it.
