I went by the motorcycle graveyard in Dallas (it has been mentioned in here a couple of times). I went there to locate an electrical panel for my CB500 (the
correct one!). I found that, and then I made the mistake of browsing around.
Yep, I loaded up another bike. This time I picked out a '71 CL350. It essentially is a parts bike, but there is potential here. I may take my time on this one and try and get it up and running. Here are a couple of pics. Ugly isn't she!?
If you look closely at the paint on the lower part of the tank, you'll see the original color! It has faded to a silver. It originally was candy gold I believe.
The bike was last tagged in '76 and the odometer shows less than 8 thousand miles. That said, it obviously has been sitting out in the elements a lot of years. Lots of surface rust throughout, but there are no dents at all on the tank. I can't get the lid to open, so I have no idea as to condition of the inside. I suspect there is lots of rust there too, but I could get lucky!
