XS owners...help needed...
« on: June 18, 2007, 11:42:44 PM »
Ok a friend of mine bought a 73 XS650 frame that has been redone as a rigid frame chopper...now the engine is shot...because of which we located an 82 Seca 650 since the engine looked quite simular to the XS motor...it appears it may even have the same engine mounts as the XS engine along with ones on the head for the Seca application. Now im wondering if we are right on this theory...if so there may just be an XS/Seca hybrid chopper on the streets soon... ;D

No clue,  isn't the Seca an inline 4 and wider than XS?

Im starting to wonder if it was in fact a seca....its an 82 Yamaha twin...has a really messed up shock set up for its rear end...the shock travels under the seat and into the bottom of the spine of the bike...ok better way to describe it is it bolts to the same point that the gas tank meets the seat.

The 82 XS400 (seca, I think) was a twin.
45 hp. Weird rear suspension setup.

SOme places called it the seca, some called it the xs400, some called it the xs400 seca.
So yeah, prolly that one.
