Toronto, 1973 CB350F newbie - now pics
« on: June 19, 2007, 12:40:44 PM »
The title says it all.  Just got it on a whim... haven't even got my M1 yet.

Have never been on a bike but have wanted one for the past three years.  A deal I couldn't refuse came up and voila!  I'm now the proud owner of a great 1973 CB350F.

Can't wait to get on the roads.  However nothing major until a) I write my M1, b) I take a course and get my M2.

Cheers,

Gerry

P.S.  Great forums!

Welcome, and good luck with the licencing process! I'd recommend training with the Canada Safety Council or any other approved school.

Here are the pics.  Hopefully they come through ok.  I had to compress them quite a bit to bring them below 80KB.  These were taken by the last owner right before I bought it.

That's a sharp looking 350. Welcome to the club. Can you ride it on a permit in Canada?

@Jugghead:  Indeed the colour is sweet.  The tank isn't looking so hot though unfortunately.  It has a few gas stains and such.  Nothing too major, but enough to drive me crazy every time I see them.   What can I expect for a 34 year old bike though?  Not sure what I'm going to do about it at this time because I really like knowing that at least it's the original paint on there.

@keiths:  Yeah, I can drive on a 'permit'.  We have graduted licensing here in Ontario.

M1 is a written test.  Upon passing you can ride during the day, 0 alcohol tolerance, no passengers, no major highways.  Within 60 days you have to get your M2.

M2 is a road test.  Removes some restrictions of M1.  Upon completion you must wait 22 months before you can get your full M license.  IF you take a certified motorcycle course, at the end of which you receive your M2, then you must wait 'only' 18 months before you can get your full license.

M license.  The real deal.  Champagne.. etc.

A bit of a pain.  However it's for the better I'm sure.  Just happy I was young enough that I didn't have to go through it when I got my car license waaaaaay back.

I think this is one of the most attractive colors honda every produced:
Candy Bacchus Olive.
It is got more depth than olive drab green, and as much cool factor as flat black.
not too flashy, just very understated COOL 8)

Wow - beautiful bike,
The previous owner looks like he or she took great care of it, it's low miles, or both.
Have fun - They're great bikes.
