'72 CL450 Scrambler
« on: June 20, 2007, 10:47:03 AM »
I actually found his listing in the "Barter" section of Craiglist.  He listed it in both categories, he says he's looking for a good running car.  I wasn't looking for another motorcycle, but I have a Honda Civic that I don't need anymore, runs good.  Maybe he'll bite! This bike would be a nice addition to the garage I think.  I'll have to wait and see!

Nice looking CL there, hope it works out for you on that one. Might consider future discussion in the "Other Bikes" though since that one is a DOHC. No offense intended, just a friendly suggestion. Got some 450 stuff myself, including a 74' CL450K6. Lots of Luck!

                                                        Later on, Bill :) ;)

My mistake.  Wasn't aware that it was DOHC.

No Problem, that's what we're here for. If you've got questions, somebody here should be able to give you the answers and by the same token, anytime you feel you can help, feel free to jump in.
The 450 is a DOHC and uses torsion bars instead of springs, to keep the valves in the up position. They are really nice bikes, not too small and yet not too big either. ;)
