can you change just wires on 1978 CB750f, or do you have to change coil and wires. called up honda they said they sell it by the foot. i thought great so i went bought wire. took coils off figured they thread in to coil. i started to unscrew but it didn't feel right. with closer inspection in kinda looks like they my be part of coil. i don't want to have to change coils and scared i my already made problem worse. can someone please help me with my question.     ps. if you do have to change coil pack will coils off a 1979 CB650 work.              thanx  jay

  There have been threads about splicing in new wires to the coils. Try a search or somebody else may chime in on it. Don't know about the 650 coils but I think others have used coils from the 750/900 dohc's.

I wrote up a procedure for changing out the original plug wires back a year ago...
I think it's in the FAQ section.
Not that hard to do!

i have a 77 cb 550 and these 7 mm ngk connectors worked great and cheap about $5.00 canadian each (which i think is cheap )i dont know about the 750s tho.but im sure someone else here would.you cut the wire leaving about 4 to 5 inches from the coil add these and start her up
