Put on new wheels...
« on: July 17, 2007, 07:17:02 PM »
I decided not to sell the wheels I had built and throw them on the ol'750. Had them for sale, but too many "I'll be there tomorrow"s and not showing up kinda got to me. I must say it gives it a much different look. The only other thing I need to get squared away it the other front brake installed. Im can't get myself to buy 2 new pistons for 77-78K calipers that would cost $160. I think Im going to try and make a couple on Thursday. Does anyone have or know if you can purchase the speedo face plastic, you know, the surface that has all the numbers on it? I was also wondering what kind of tank bags you all are running with, looking for a good magnetic one.  Thanks..

Try El Cheapo ( www.anubiscycle.com ) for gauge faces.

Also try roberth9 on ebay for guage faces, he had replacement faces for my F2, and they came out great.

Thanks guys..

I was actually looking for the plastic gauge face itself to modify. I've got white faces on now and I wanted to put black ones on. I was told that you cannot take of gauge faces once you've applied them. So all I need is a couple "core" gauge faces.

It's a stock F head pipe with an adapter to a 3" inlet Supertrapp. The defuser discs were removed from the rear. Sounds pretty good. I picked it up for $75 from a guy. Couldn't pass it up.
