Topic: 81 cb650c flashers wont flash

just finished wireing new rear light sets and flashers dont want to flash.
am i missing something.
or do i need to get a modern relay to accomadate new lights?
the turn signals ar5e basic singal wire lights similar to oem but smaller and nicert shape.

any help please?

If the new bulbs pull less power, your old relay won't go CLICK/CLICK.

a new elect $5.00 sig relay is your answer

what if new signals on back but front is still oem, will the new relay still trigger the old lights?

No. It's a complete circuit. Relay measures  total resistance for both lights and does not get what it needs to go CLICK!

so basicaly going need replace front signals as well then get new relay?
btw you know where relay is on a 650? i think i know but not positive.

I have no idea where it is on a 650.  On a 750 it is behind the side cover where all the wiring is. On a 350 it hangs off the frame behind the horn.

Once you get an elect relay sig switch it won't matter what lights you use.

Have you considered walking into your Honda dealer and just buying the correct bulbs for the rear?

The flasher is located on the left side right behind the battery.

forgot on my main harness along backbone there a tiny tiny box spliced into the harness that would be the relay right?

thats a diode, flasher relay is behind left cover.

Its behind the starer relay also.   Much fun for a simple operation.

i assume its on the two wires that seem to be going inbehind the rectifier?

Look between the battery and the rear fender. You will find it tucked in there.

yes between the bat and the fender behind the starter syl with 2 wires going to it.  Has a rubber mount to hold it to the batt box/tray.
