395.00 to ship a 30lb package to Australia....
« on: June 22, 2007, 08:57:15 AM »
.......That was what a guy was quoted yesterday when I was at UPS.  :o I told the guy (an Aussie) to go USPS and it would be about 100.00 for air mail. I think the 2 people at UPS were a little pisse at me. ::)

Frankly I cannot understand why anyone would use UPS out of the States. They ain't cheap, and then you get dinged for 'admin','brokerage' etc etc, when the parcel arrives.

I just bought a $10 item on eBay, which then cost me $18 shipping, and I am waiting with expectation the bill from UPS for the peripherals. Do sellers think they are doing their customers a favour by using UPS??
