Max Power with stock frame? (CB750K)
« on: June 30, 2005, 11:35:48 AM »
I'm working on a rebuild of a '74 CB750K engine.  I know there are lots of ways to squeeze more power (bore kits, head work, cams) of of this engine.  I guess I'm curious to how much power a stock frame can safely handle.  What mods would be good for a frame with a higher power engine?

Thanks!

I don't think you'll have a problem with the pig-iron frame.  You should give attention to the suspension and braking however.  Oh, and buy a good helmet  ;D

If you have a properly working suspension, the frame should hold up just fine. Now if you were to start bombing around with 100 bhp, then you could run into issues. Maybe.
