75 CB360
« on: June 22, 2007, 02:17:34 PM »
A buddy just picked up a 75 CB360. Motor and tranny run strong.

Clutch slips a little, no front brakes, and the tank is from a little old honda 175.

A few questions:
1. Is there a good place online for parts--brake calipers and the like?
2. Front End--If he were to want to replace the front end, triples and all, is the stem interchangeable with other bikes?
3. What is the little metal compartment behind and below the carb? looks like it has a door, but no way for anything to in or out...what is it?
4. Is there a preferred option for switching out the drum in the back for a disc?
5. Tanks--will the tank from a CB400 fit? If so, is there a resource for these and other options?
6. cafe tails and seats---where?

Only thing I can help on is the box with the door is for the tool kit.  They did have a CJ model that had a rear cafe style lite and bodywork.  Done know how diff it is as I've never seen on in person but have a few pics.  Email me if you want me to forward them to you.  CB650@juno.com      Only made them 76/77 I think.

CJ250/360 tank fits so does CB400F tank.
Don't see any advantage to swapping out rear drum for disc?
Front end is pretty much exactly same as CB400F or late model CB350T (disc type) so anything to improve them works on 360.

Any thoughts on the front end? Is it generally accepted that a CB stem is a CB stem?

Yep, CB350 on. Anything that fits that fits 360
BTW, I have 4 of them but no titles (Which kinda sucks, one only has 1200 miles) Was going to build vintage racer for CCS but don't have enough time.

Cool. we'll get down to the local salvage shop and look for a front end. The forks are leaky on the 360, so thats that.

Also need to find a front brake caliper assembly.
