Geez, if it wasn't so true it'd be funny, for you guys who haven't picked up on the story, the aborigines here (and particularly "up north" in the Northern Territory) have huge problems with alcohol fuelled domestic violence and sexual assault.

So in an attempt to modify their behavior, the government is banning alcohol and hard core porn in indigenous communities, and sending in the army and police to enforce the bans and protect the community.

In my humble opinion, the problem with Australia is that we have been on this guilt trip for taking away their land 200 years ago, so we've been way too soft on them for way too long.

There's been a push by the "do-gooders" here for the last few years for the government to apologise for "the stolen generation" whereby the government removed children from their parents many years ago in an attempt to give them a better life by placing them with white "foster parents".

The truth is that the problems that we're facing now were also common then, and repatriating the aboriginal kids was a genuine attempt to give them a better life, but once again, it was turned around by political rivals to score some cheap political points.

Here's a link to the latest news on the subject:

If the word "aborigines" is replaced with "natives", "aboriginals", "Indians" or "First Nations" (or whatever they insist we call them this year), Terrys post would perfectly describe the situation in Canada.

cracker, I live in ND. Seen the whole indian thing first hand. I can tell you they do more to keep themselves down than us whites ever did.  It will take generations before they let it go cause it gets passed down like gospel. :P

Well I'd be happy enough to trade all of our Aborigines for your Native Americans guys, "Red Indians" couldn't possibly be as self destructive as these people, they've no documented history, no culture, and haven't advanced since the stone-age. Geez I wish New Zealand didn't get first pick! :)

We are having a super new office block built across the road from where I work.

My boss told me it will have everything, restaurant, gym, restrooms with TV and a prayer room.

I asked who wanted a prayer room, he replyed all the Muslems.

I asked could I have a bar fitted in the security office as I am an alcoholic. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

There's a new porno movie being released and it stars an Aboriginal girl.

It's called "Debbie does f..... all"

So have you still got a job Sammy? Anyhoo, isn't it funny how Muslims can demand to have a prayer room built for them in Britain, or Oz, the US etc, but we can't get a bar built in any of their countries? Now that's rascism, I reckon! ;D

I dont think you would want the indians here. The Abbis from what little I have seen, stay slim. Once most indians hit 15 their asses expand sideways on the women and the men start drinking mouthwash.   Sure not all do this but in my area, probably more than half do things like this.

Well I've seen fat and skinny Aborigines Eldy, but most of the skinny ones stay slim because all their welfare payments go straight to the liquor stores, and when they aren't drinking cheap booze, they're sniffing gasoline fumes.

Now that the government has stepped in and banned alcohol (and hopefully gasoline sniffing) you might see more fat Aborigines. It's a shame about your Indians though, I thought they were a lot more advanced than our indigenous people. Cheers, Terry. ;D

You're right Terry

I spent a lot of time in the Territory in the 70s after Cyclone Tracey.

The only reason the "rightful owners of this country" are skinny is because they drink anything they can steal and don't feed themselves or their families because all welfare payments go on alcohol/petrol/metho/kero

I must admit though, the actual "bushies" are ok

It's these mongrels who've found out that the government is a cash cow

Ofreen and Miles, are you afraid or dislike the truth? You might want to paint us as racist but I never thought it was racist to tell the truth. It is a shame these people do this, what is even more a shame is they blame anyone WHITE. Which is more racist then? I did NOT have ANYTHING to do with their situation. Our govt has more than compensated these people. When they turn 18, they would get THOUSANDS of dollars just for being indian. What did they do? Buy some expensive car and alcohol and get drunk and wreck their cars. What a waste. They get free or DEEPLY discounted tuition for school but only about 10% take advantage of that. WHy when you can live off the govt and blame white people for your problems.

ANy wrongs against these people happened decades ago and NONE are alive now that were then. It is time to move on  and join society. The indians around here even have troubles on their own reservations. Rapes and all that. Yes that happens everywhere but if you truly what racism to die, then BOTH parties need to drop the issue. Otherwise it will never happen. I have been friends with some indians, I had to kick the crap out of one who was threatening to run over one of my friends. I give everyone a shot till they show they do not deserve it. I do not immediately judge people, I wait till they can make their first impression and sometimes I even give second chances. Many people do not.
