cb550 engine from usa to canada

Hi All,
I know this subject has been covered a few times, but
couldn't find a thread on shipping a complete engine.

Seems it weighs too much for USPS/Poste Canada

so,
how would I get it there and all?

Where into the "Great White North" are you sending it?  Maybe one of the local trucking companies could ship it.

You had better be sitting down when you are given a quote. I checked into shipping an engine across the 49th and the quote would cover the rebuild of at least two core engines.

Probably cheaper to drive down and throw it in your trunk and hope you don't get stopped coming back across....plus you could throw a few bottles of cheap liquor in there too to assist in the install process!
