Topic: 360 Carbs puking fuel. Help me make sure I don't miss anything.

Getting the GF's CL360 roadworthy.  All it needed was some new fuel lines.  Put them on and switched on the fuel tap.  The #2 carb is puking fuel from the overflow tube and around the float bowl gasket.  #1 is just puking from the overflow tube.  Switched the fuel tap off and once enough gas ran out, they stopped leaking.

I am guessing improperly set float height combined with bad gaskets.

I'm going to pull the carbs and rebuild them and set the float heights.  Is that all I should need to do?  Should I get new float valves and seats? 

As for rebuild kits, who makes good ones?  Are the K&L kits from Old Bike Barn alright or should I look elsewhere?  How about OBB's float valves and seats?

Thanks for any help.  I NEED to get this thing on the road soon.

Well, to be safe, I ordered a new Honda gasket set for each carb, along with new floats, float needles and seats.  Expensive, but I want her and her bike to only have the best.

Hope it gets here soon.  Only have so much leave and I wanna get her on the road asap.

i would wait on the float valves and seats until you get it apart and check them. i've had good luck with using old valves a lot of the time. you can blow in the fuel inlet while holding the floats closed to see if any air is getting by, or hook up the fuel to the carbs with the bowls off and hold the floats closed, checking if any fuel gets by.

when you have the float bowls off, check to make sure the overflow tube inside is not cracked or loose and that the area where the drain screw seats inside the bowl is in good shape. i just had both of these problems on a set of cb400t carbs i was working on.

I want to thank you guys for all the help
I was helping a buddy with his 1973 350f
after talking him into pulling the carbs for a quick look
to try and stop a gas leak in the #2 carb
and then after pulling the things about 15 more times
i read this post and checked the tubs in the floatbowl
yep that was it it's great now
