Some of you probably missed the announcement, but I upgraded the forum software this evening.  There are a number of changes that even I am just discovering.  Hopefully most changes will be seen to be improvements.

Just so you know, the upgrade happened for a couple of reasons.  For one, there were security patches that needed to be installed which is why I did this today.  For another, we've been dealing with tons of bogus registrations and the previous version of the software didn't allow us good options for controlling those and handling them manually was taking too much time away from the moderator's enjoyment of the forums.  And, finally, going to this version (1.1.3) allows us to take advantage of a rich collection of modules and themes that we can install to make these forums better than they are now.

Please use the feedback forum to post comments, suggestions, or criticisms.

Enjoy!

Hi Glenn,

You rock.  Maintaining a forum like this is a lot of work.

I appreciate your efforts to keep this forum updated.  Without the ability to communicate like this I know I would have a bike in the garage that I couldn't get running.

These boards are a huge success and many many thanks to you and the other mods & admins who keep it runnin and funded.

All the best,

Ben

I'll second those sentiments - keep up the great work.

        Man Glenn,
This is quite a change and I would have said something sooner but, as you know, I've been somewhat distracted for a bit. I definitely noticed though and commend you and the mods for the efforts that have made and keep this place the very best of them all. My apologies for not saying something sooner. Keep up the great work.

                                     Later on, Bill :) ;)

commend you and the mods

Very kind of you Bill, but Glenn does this stuff on his own. We do discuss it, but the "mods" can claim no credit.

Glad you like it.

I do.

Yes, and I sense he spent a good deal of time over the past couple of days implementing the change and that doesn't even cover the test time he most surely put in as well.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

I know that Glenn's the "Main Man" and to say that he's doing a great job of maintaining and improving this place, would be an understatement! Fantastic Job There Glenn! We Applaud You for your efforts! ;) 8)

I also want to say though, that the moderators are the best. I wouldn't want their job, as I'm sure that they spend a fair amount of time being involved with their part of the operation.

Biggest thing the rest of us do, is give them more work trying to keep us under control! ;D   Kidding, except for the occasional deal like "seawebs tire purchase attempt", masonryman's freeloaders trying to cheat him on shipping charges for FREE parts and an "occasional skirmish", we're a pretty decent bunch, don't ya think? ;D

Later on guys,   Bill :) ;)
