There is a buzzer of sorts mounted under my speedometer.

What exactly is its purpose?

I believe it may be your turn signal flasher and buzzer unit.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Thats exactly what it for. To alert you that the turn signal is on ... very helpful and helps stop drivers turning in front of you that think you are about to turn as well. 1st time i came across mine working i thought it was stupid, annoying and ruined my "cool" factor (haha)... until i realized how much I forget my blinker without it.

While sitting in traffic at a light you can ease yourself of the annoying "Berrr ep beep beeep beeep" by sliding the turn signal switch back toward the center a little bit till it stops... and the blinker remains on.

Dude, based on all your questions in different posts I have to say, you really need to get a manual.
With one, all things will come to make no sense at all, or easier to understand over the phone?

Click hereĀ  https://www.primediabooks.com/ProductDetail.asp?PRDID=347 for $ 29.95 new.
or try an Ebay search for "Clymer CB750". You certainly need one of these in the shop for reference for all sorts of things.

P.S. I'm not insinuating this forum is not for Q/A, but alot of this stuff will become easier to wrap your head around after reading the manual a few times. Good luck with the new project.

Dude, i have the clymer manual. It sucks for my bike. most of the info in it is for earlier models

I had to put on my back wheel, it came with it off...my back wheel make isnt in the book..the buzzer isnt in the book...any info on the fork covers is not in the book that isnt even in the exploded view...same deal with the front sprocket no info...

Almost ALL of the info pics for the carbs are of earlier models....

If you know of a book that will give detailed information tell me where to buy it...

It's a bit like navigating a boat, you can't rely on just one chart, or just a compass, or just a GPS.  All three are a good way to get started though.

I have one of these books as well, It  is specific to your Model and year
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7984259221&category=34237&sspagename=WDVW

I also have "Mark Haycocks'" book Honda 750. Both easily found on Ebay at a reasonable cost.

P.S. Fork Tube info starts on page 155 in Clymer. I trust you also found my post assisting you in an after market choice.

Sea,

The mount in the link you gave is kinda what i am looking for. I find that when I see an item in person i am usually disapointed with it in some way so i send it back...less15 or 20 % restocking fee and shipping of course  but who cares...

I am looking at several right now...more like a billet look...i dont know but i will when i see it.

I have spent so much money on this pile i want to be totally happy with EVERY item that i put on it ...on matter how small
